About

emilyjared-large-8

My name is Emily and I have been photographing weddings, couples and families professionally for the last 4 years. When so many do not get to pursue what is on their hearts, I am forever grateful for the strength and opportunity God has given me to pursue one of my passions in life.

I got married this past November. I am a also a registered pediatric nurse and I work with kiddos part time during the week. We live in Hudsonville with our 3 dogs – a golden retriever, Pyper, an adopted puggle, Duff (aka Duff-Man, Mr. Dufferson, or Duffy) and our most recent adopted addition, a pittie named Dotty. We adore dogs and are foster parents with Pet Tales Rescue. Jared and I typically have a 4th furry, foster friend at our house at all times. Just love me my fur kids! Fostering is a lot of fun and a lot of hard work but we wouldn’t trade it for the world!

Because you are here I want you to know I am grateful you are considering me as your photographer. Thank you for visiting my site and taking the time to read about my story. It would be an honor to hear more about what you, your family, your dog or what your wedding day is going to be like. The more details the better!

  • Tracy Humphrrys - what is your pricing for weddings? date is June 13, 2015ReplyCancel

  • Carly - My name is Carly and my fiancee and I are getting married this summer in Chicago! We are having our ceremony at a church and the reception will be at Osteria Via Stato, an Italian restaurant downtown that we both love. Our date is August 22.

We want our wedding to be more like a party with close friends. We are inviting about 140 people so it won’t be that small but we are hoping it will still be intimate!

We met by chance at a BBQ and want our wedding to reflect how blessed we feel to have met each other and to have all our favorite people there to celebrate with us.

    A little about us…
    > Andy works at a chocolate company and is a Chicago sports fanatic. He loves music and actually wrote me a poem as part of the proposal. He is definitely the calming force in my life and always knows how to make me feel better. He can also make friends with anyone.

I love Downtown Abbey, dogs and prosecco. I am definitely the less logical one of the pair. I am mostly traditional but like to do things a bit differently (my engagement ring is rose gold morganite). I work in professional development and love helping people with their career paths.

We like work that looks beautiful but not fussy and captures emotion instead of the work that went into posing. After looking through your blog, your work is exactly that. It is beautiful! You clearly have a gift for picking up on the beautiful moments in life.

    Would love to talk more!ReplyCancel
