Each day was so full of awesomeness with my dear friend Amanda. (please wander over here to check out her blog post on our trip!) To say we made the most of our 4 days in Cali would be an understatement. My heart is full, and I feel overwhelmed to even try to sum up our travels.
Our first day was spent driving the coast-all the way to San Diego, with stops at Huntington beach boardwalk & La Jolla Beach. We arrived at La Jolla after the sun had already gone down, but were still able to spot some big ‘ol sea lions snoozing on the sand. Smores, mini bottles of wine, and a campfire on the beach under the palm trees was the perfect way to wrap up our beach life day.
The second day we set out in our little white rental horse for a day of desert driving to Salton Sea, Salvation Mountain, and Joshua Tree, with several remote desert town pit stops along the way-girls gotta have her snacky-poos! It was wonderful to be able to jump out, and take photos wherever our little hearts desired. May I recommend that you choose your travel partner as carefully as your choose your destination, makes all the difference in the world to have a rad travel buddy who shares the same goals as you on a trip.
We waived goodbye to our airbnb host on the third day, and spent two glorious days in the heart of Palm Springs walking around town, thrifting, eating amazing food, taking the Airtram high into the sky to overlook our new found desert love PLUS a bit o sunbathing poolside at the ACE hotel. Our final night we drank, had major massages, ordered pizza, and watched the stars from the hot tub.
I came home feeling refreshed and inspired. Thankful for travel opportunities, for picture opportunities, and time to grow in myself and my friendships. I hope you enjoyed these photos as much as I enjoyed reminiscing as I chose which ones to share with you!
